Democrats have taken some bad positions in the past. However, what they are doing now in regard to fighting waste, fraud, and abuse, is so dumb, it almost defies belief. It seems they would like us to believe either it doesn’t exist or it’s negligible.

I wrote earlier about White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt squashing NBC News’ Peter Alexander, who seemed to downplay $71 billion in fraud because it happened over several years as opposed to just one year. And that was only one report, without the deep dive through all the agencies that DOGE is doing now. The savings DOGE has found so far from their initial review is estimated to be $55 billion. All of which shows systemic issues that need to be resolved.

However, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) decided to go down that denial road during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club.”

Host Charlamagne tha God stated that, without question, there is waste, fraud, and abuse. Crockett admitted that while it exists, she doesn’t think it is a lot.

CROCKETT: “I’m not going to say that there’s a lot — I’m going to say that it does exist. I’m going to say that it exists. I don’t think that there’s a lot.”

What does she think is a lot? They’ve already found billions. How much is “a lot” to her?

That’s not just what DOGE has found, and the $71 billion in Social Security fraud.

The GAO also found much more:

Federal agencies also “reported an estimated $236 billion in improper payments” in fiscal year 2023 and since fiscal year 2003, the combined improper payment estimates have reached around $2.7 trillion.

So it’s there and you have to ask: why this is new talking point, why are they so fixated on denying it? Whatever the reason, it’s a bad move when you’re denying what has already been shown as a fact, when they want to act like billions of dollars are nothing. But that’s a quintessential Democrat move.

Crockett is also absolutely delusional about the Trump tax cuts, which benefitted most Americans, and bolstered the economy. She would likely vote against saving them, and so your taxes will go up. She’s clueless.

If those first comments weren’t a bad enough move, she really stepped in it when she spoke about the Trump’s tariff threats to get Mexico and Canada to do more on border protection and stopping fentanyl traffic. Because he’s been strong, he’s gotten them to take action; they are having continuing discussions. That’s what strength gets you.

Not only doesn’t Crockett seem to understand that, she takes the side of Canada and Mexico — against her own country.

“The fact that I’m rooting for Canada and I’m rooting for Mexico a lot is really wild, but they are really the ones that are speaking truth to power right now. They can see what it is and they were like, ‘We are not messing with this crazy regime from Meer-a-Lago [sic],’ and basically calling them thugs. That’s what it is. But I’m like you all knew what it was when you elected him, so don’t act surprised.”

Wow, rooting for Canada and Mexico in battle over the defense of our country? Can I say what a bad look that is? She’s so consumed with her hate for Trump, does she remember the oath that she took as a member of Congress? This is shameful as a member of Congress. And what truth does she think they’re saying? Is letting cartels overrun your country “speaking truth to power”?
