Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper Tom Moores has signed a new two-year limited-overs contract with the county.

Moores, 28, who won the T20 Blast with Notts in 2017 and 2020, is now signed up to play white-ball cricket only for the Outlaws in 2025 and 2026.

The son of Notts coach Peter Moores, he has scored 2,751 white-ball runs for the Outlaws, of which he has made 1,997 in T20s – and his 68 dismissals is just 18 short of Chris Read’s Notts T20 club record.

He was also part of the Trent Rockets side who won the Men’s Hundred in 2022 – and has played franchise T20 cricket globally for Multan Sultans, Jaffna Stallions, Kandy Warriors, Sylhet Strikers and Rangpur Riders.

“This is a great chance for Tom to narrow his focus and really take a leading role in getting us back to where we want to be as a club in limited-overs cricket,” said, external Notts director of cricket Mick Newell.

“He’s built a lot of white-ball experience around the world and has won multiple trophies in both 20 and 50-over cricket.”
