Three More Joy Jamima Gang Members Arrested

Visakhapatnam: Three key members of the infamous Joy Jamima honey trap gang have been arrested. The gang, active for over five years, targeted affluent men, drugging them and capturing compromising photographs for extortion.

The arrested suspects, identified as Fatima Usman Chowdhury (alias Zoya), her husband Tanveer, and Avinash Benjamin, were apprehended in Hyderabad and brought to Visakhapatnam through a remand process. The Visakhapatnam court has ordered a 15-day remand, and they are now held at Visakhapatnam Central Jail.

City Police Commissioner Shankabrata Bagchi revealed that the gang used social media to lure victims into relationships, drugged them during meetings, and recorded intimate photographs to blackmail them for money or assets. Financial records show significant cash transfers linked to their activities.

This development follows the earlier arrest of gang leaders Joy Jamima, Bachchu Venu Bhaskar Reddy, and Kishore Vemu, who are also in remand at Visakhapatnam Central Jail.
