A French court on Thursday handed down prison sentences for 51 defendants found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting Gisèle Pelicot. While Gisèle’s ex-husband Dominique Pelicot was handed the maximum sentence of 20 years, feminist groups outside the courts were disappointed that the prison terms for other men were shorter than those requested by the prosecution.
