Ottawa police seek suspect in alleged December assault

Police in Ottawa are looking to identify a suspect in an alleged assault that occurred Dec. 19 in the area of Somerset West and Percy Street.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., the suspect and victim had a brief interaction, before the victim was assaulted, police say. There were no serious physical injuries.

Police say the suspect is a white man, about 20 to 30 years old, with a medium build and medium-length brown hair. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing skinny, dark-coloured jeans, a dark-coloured beanie, Vans shoes, and no socks. He was carrying a skateboard.

Anyone with information about this individual’s identity or about this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section at 613-236-1222, extension 2193.
